Daisuke, more commonly known as “Dice”, competed on the international stage for 16 years. He first represented the United States as a Junior and later spent most of his career representing his native country, Japan. His long list of achievements not only include winning the 2014 NHK Trophy and qualifying for the 2015 Grand Prix Final, but also being the first mens skater to land a quadruple salchow at Japan Nationals. After retiring in 2018, Dice took up the role of coaching to share his experiences as a world-class competitor and grow the next generation of skaters. He has worked with legendary coaches throughout his journey including, Frank Carroll, Nikolai Morozov, Rafael Arutynyan, and Lori Nichol.
From jump technique, skating skills, mental preparation, and off-ice training, he aims to instill every skater with the confidence they need in training to feel prepared for competition. Dice has more than 20 years of competition experience and hopes to pass on all that he has learned to his students.
